Student Research Survey

01What this is

This survey is run by Crank Tech, a technology company based in Accra, Ghana. It is research to understand how students learn, study and use digital tools, including AI. We are using what we learn to design a learning product.

02Taking part is your choice

Participation is completely voluntary. You can stop at any time by closing the page, and nothing is saved until you press "Submit responses" on the final step. Some questions ask you to make a selection before continuing, but you are free to leave the survey instead.

03What we collect

When you submit, we store your answers to the survey questions. We do not ask for your name, and the survey itself is not tied to your identity. We also record your browser type and the time of submission for basic technical and quality purposes.

04Contact details are optional and kept separate

Two parts of the survey are optional:

• If you agree to a follow-up conversation, you can leave contact information.
• If you want to test the demo when it is ready, you can leave your email for the early-access list.

Any contact information or email you give is stored separately from your survey answers and is not linked back to them. We only use it to contact you for the reason you gave it.

05How we use your information

We use your answers to guide our research and product design. We use contact details and demo emails only to reach the people who asked to be reached. We do not sell your information, and we do not share it with third parties for advertising.

06Where your information is stored

Responses are stored securely using Cloudflare's infrastructure. Data may be processed on servers outside Ghana as part of that service.

07Keeping it as long as we need

We keep survey responses for as long as the research is useful and delete demo and contact details once they are no longer needed for follow-up or early access.

08Your choices

You can ask us what information we hold about you, or ask us to delete your contact or demo email, by writing to us at the address below. Because survey answers are not tied to your identity, we may not be able to find a specific anonymous response after it is submitted.
